A comment my Mom (Nana) made on my last post got me thinking about a great song by Brad Paisley called "The World". We listen to this song all the time around here, it is one of Marissa's favorites.
To the waiter at the restaurant
You're just another tip
To the guy at the ice cream shop
You're just another dip
When you can't get reservations
'Cause you don't have the clout
Or you didn't get an invitation
'Cause somebody left you out
That's alright, that's ok
When you don't feel important honey
All I've got to say is
You think you're one of millions but you're one in a million to me
When you wonder if you matter, baby look into my eyes
And tell me, can't you see you're everything to me
That's alright, that's ok
When you don't feel important honey
All I've got to say is
To the world
You may be just another girl
But to me
Baby, you are the world

I love that song! And, this song really fits inspirational Marissa!
Some days I think that people must get sick of reading my blog because it's mostly about Gavin. And, I'm sure that many people think "What's the big deal about him? He can hardly do anything." But, for this Momma, he is the world to me and I find a lot more perfection in him than most people probably do.
I know that Marissa has really touched my heart and I love her to pieces, so the feelings that you have for her must be HUGE! Love that girl! She is one special gift to this world!
Have a great weekend! Love, Hugs and Prayers!!!
Awww, what a sweet post. Love it!

What an amazing song!! I love it! Sorry I haven't been able to comment. So back to the previous post. I am so happy that she is saying Daddy. She is such an amazing little girl with her cute little okay big personality. LOL
I love the "small things"
Yay for D's!
Thanks for sharing!
Wow! I listen to Brad Paisley's songs quite often but didn't realize my comments were so close to what the words of this song covey. But it's true. Thank you for sharing the words to this song to remind us of what we all see and know...in spite of the world! Love you guys....thanks for sharing.
Love,
Nana & PaPa
Love this post!
My husband and I have a 7 month old with a trach and g-tube. She just came home in November. While in the hospital, we also found the song "It Won't Be Like This For Long" by Darius Rucker to be very fitting for our situation.
Aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww
I love this...
