UPDATE:

Please pray again for Stellan and his family.  It looks like he might have heart surgery tonight. Click on this link, read up, and pray.  This little guy needs all the help he can get.

Emerson continues to do well, with some setbacks here and there.  Please also keep her in your prayers for her long road of recovery.

ORIGINAL POST:

Marissa's recovery is going pretty well.  We got close to taking her to Urgent Care yesterday morning because she had slightly yellow secretions and she was acting lethargic.  We were concerned that Friday night's humidifier dumping episode had caused pneumonia.  We were torn because we did not know whether her symptoms were from surgery recovery or the beginning of pneumonia.  We waited and... she had a very large dirty diaper.  The second after she dirtied her diaper, she was chipper, cheery, laughing and bouncing off the walls again.  She had two more blowout diapers yesterday, some of which got on Jeremy's arm.  Last I heard he was going to soak his arm in rubbing alcohol and set it on fire!!!  ;)  Her secretions have thus far stayed clear, so I guess all she needed to do was get rid of all that poop so she could feel better!! I think I am safe in saying we finally turned the corner away from pneumonia.  Yay!!

This morning she is VERY grumpy.  She was very clingy with her daddy all weekend and I am NOT her favorite person today.  For no particular reason.  She fights me on even the most mundane of tasks and I know if her daddy were doing it, she would have no problem.  Oh well, We'll both just have to muscle through this.

Glad to hear that she is doing well, although grumpy! That makes for a LONG day for Momma! Hang in there! She loves you!

After Lily had her T&A, it was MISERABLE! She had TONS of secretions, requiring practically constant suctioning. She drooled incessantly because her throat hurt too much to swallow her saliva. I began to wonder if it was even worth it to put her through the misery. Then, after about 4 weeks (yes, it took her that long), she turned the corner and did fabulously again! I hope and pray it doesn't take that long for you guys!! HUGS

I'm sorry she's grumpy. Give her hugs from Ava. So glad she's recovering well, though.
